Lauren

I grew up in Edmonton, AB, training competitively from age 4 in various styles of dance - jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary. Tap dance was and is my favorite! I further developed a love of fine arts, dance, technique, and diverse choreography at Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts from grades 8-12. After completing my Bachelor of Arts, I specialized in Early Childhood Education earning my ECE Level 3 certification. I have worked in various childcare centres, summer camps, as a nanny, and since 2013, provide childcare in my local dayhome. When my oldest daughter started preschool dance classes, I was smitten with her enthusiasm and energy toward movement and rhythm. I decided to connect my knowledge and experience with young children to my love of dance!

While running her dayhome from 2013 – 2026, Lauren’s own children started dance classes and she was smitten with their enthusiasm and energy toward movement and rhythm, and wanted to be a part of that. She combined her knowledge and experience with young children with her love of dance, and joined the team at TDC in 2021.

With over 22 years experience in working with young children, and having three of her own kids, Lauren continually looks for opportunities to learn more about trends, Early Education strategies, and learning methods. She is excited to bring the Fine Arts Club™ to life at TDC in Leduc, and support families in the community!
