I grew up in Edmonton, AB, training competitively from age 4 in various styles of dance - jazz, tap, ballet, and contemporary. Tap dance was and is my favorite! I further developed a love of fine arts, dance, technique, and diverse choreography at Victoria School of Performing and Visual Arts from grades 8-12. After completing my Bachelor of Arts, I specialized in Early Childhood Education earning my ECE Level 3 certification. I have worked in various childcare centres, summer camps, as a nanny, and since 2013, provide childcare in my local dayhome. When my oldest daughter started preschool dance classes, I was smitten with her enthusiasm and energy toward movement and rhythm. I decided to connect my knowledge and experience with young children to my love of dance!

With over 22 years experience in working with children, and having three of my own kids, I continually look for opportunities to learn more about trends, education strategies, and learning methods. Working in the Preschool Dance Program and Fine Arts Club at TDC allows me to grow as an educator, and utilize my skills in a fun and creative way. I thoroughly enjoy seeing growth in my students throughout the year and their pride when they perform on the stage. I truly believe that the fine arts are a huge factor in well-rounded development for kids of all ages!
